Hey, this one is still breathing! Monday, January 24, 2005 |

It's true, I haven't quite died yet.

this has got to be about the worst vacation ever. Not only do I have to spend it with my parents, who freak out if I leave their sight for mare than a few minutes, but I also managed to hurt my knee out on the hill the first day and haven't been able to ski today... (ARGH)

I feel bad about leaving town right after Merna and I started going out, and I find myself being kind of homesick because of that.

surprisingly, the weather out here in the mountains of Colorado is actually warmer and less snowy than home at the moment, although with that storm that just went through, that isn't really saying much.

Been forever since I managed to get time to post.. or managed to feel motivated to post, but it just doesn't seem like that much has happened in the weeks since my last post other than a few things.

1: Became Merna's boyfriend (w00t)
2: Bought (and beat) Half-Life 2 (BUY IT NOW!!!!!)
3: Got some financial aide stuff for my next year at tech worked out.
4: went to Colorado.

and... ummmmm. That's most of it? It just seems like things never move at home. Oh yeah,

5: Had exams (eep!)

I sometimes wish that my blog posts came out like my short stories do, with a short narrative style, but it just never seems to work out that way. Oh well, I pretty much know that Flash is the only one that reads this, so it's not like I'm disappointing thousands of people with my boring-ness. (sorry Flash)

Well, my hour of access is almost up here, so I'll post more tales of interest from Colorado later.

Argh... Tuesday, January 04, 2005 |

Fucking New Year,
Fucking Family,
Fucking Deer.

It did it again. Gravity still works.
Why is it that people think that just because the planet has managed to stay in orbit for another full rotation, they need to party?

Bah to all of them. For any of you still tuned in to the Chapstick channel, here is a quick summary of my break.

Week 1: O.k., not really outstanding, partially because I was working, but not too bad, had my first family Christmas, and got a $50 Best Buy card. w00t. Hmm, other than that, not anything really happened.

Christmas: Again, pretty good, got my two presents I knew about, (skis and part of a new hard drive) and some much needed shirts and such. In the evening my family came over, and we had many foods and they had many drinks while I played World of Warcraft.
So far, so good.

Week 2: (the bitch in the face week) Started out ok, but rapidly entered a death spiral. First, my grandpa is needing heart surgery, which kills the plans to go to Canada Skiing. Shit on both counts. On Tuesday night, I then thought it might be a really great idea to run my car into a fucking deer, just peachy. (damn thing is still in the shop) To alleviate the extreme crap of the week sofar, some friends and I decided to go skiing on our own on Thursday, but winter decided to take a coffee break and leave us with 40 degree weather and rain. So I went down to see my grandpa, which was cool, because he was feeling a lot better. And then came Friday, and with it, family Christmas. I usually love Family Christmas, get a game or two, some clothes, and walk away from the whole thing with a warm fuzzy feeling. However, two things upset this usually jolly occasion. Number one: we were there for New Years. Note: I HATE NEW YEARS!!! This is no reason for a holiday! Argh. Secondly, I received two presents that weren't sweaters... I hate sweaters, even the nice, fairly stylish ones that were given to me... ARGH!!! More on my life whenever.

Got my car back, $300 >.<
