Sweet Zombie Jesus... Tuesday, December 28, 2004 |

God I'm tired. Been up a whole 10 minutes now, and I'm already at work... And I've got just about the worst fucking headache ever...
And I'm not even hung over... It would probubly make a better story.

Spent the night at Pothead's house, and had a pretty good time. Played some GTA: San Andreas and then watched I, Robot. Pothead and his stepbrother are both smokers, and the damn stuff gave me an asthma attack, altough not enought ot really put me behind. And somtime during the night, they got the bright idea that they were going to make pot brownies for me. Note: I havn't done drugs, and i plan to try them when i am damn well ready, thank you. I don't drink (regularily), and unlike well over half my school, I don't even smoke, let alone do pot. I don't care if other people do , but it really manages to piss me off when they try and pressure me into doing this kind of stuff. Anyways. The movie finished at about 4:45, at which point i was fairly ready to sleep, but then i remembered that I had to shovel my Dad's office sidewalk, since he and my Mom are downstate with my Grandpa (he is having heart surgury today), so, at 5:00 in the morning, i drove the twenty minutes back into town to shovel the sidewalks... damn it was cold.

when i got home, i *tried* to set my alarm, but managed to only misset my clock, so i woke up half an hour after i was supposed to show up at work. Shit. It's a good thing that my boss is almost never there and the other staff is nice to me. well. People are getting back from work, so i must go. See everyone later.

Presumed fed.

That is the nice thing about having a blog that nobody reads, nobody gets unhappy when I don't choose to post for a while.
Anyway, time for a quick recap of the weekend.

This weekend was the annual Christmas LAN party, which is organized by NetAdmin and myself, along with a few others, which was pretty fun. Attendance was good, and we stayed up to late.. only a few things marred the otherwise perfect evening. The first was Helpless' play.

First, let me explain, I'm no Christian, but due to the fact that I kept up the image of one for many years, helpless himself has found faith, despite the fact that both of his parents are atheists, and really I couldn't be happier for him.
But this play was something different.
I went in expecting to see the classic "A Christmas carol" muddled with poor acting and forgotten lines that are usually found in hastily produced church plays, and while these familiar elements were there, there was something a bit extra included with the play. Instead of sticking to the classic story, the church's pastor thought it would be a great idea to rewrite this play and turn it into a full fledged sermon in disguise. Whereas the original novelette of "A Christmas Carol" only mentions God 12 times in its entirety, this play was filled with mentions of the holy spirit at every turn. The ghosts? Angels, sent from God to turn Scrooge from his evil and unchristian ways. And Marley? Condemned by the Devil himself to suffer for his miserly ways. Omfg, sirs.
I waited through the entire play only because my friend was in it. In any other circumstance, I would have had to walk out within the first half hour...

Bah, too late to finish this blog now, I will return to tell of the only other happening to mar the otherwise perfect weekend.

woot. Thursday, December 16, 2004 |

Today was pretty freakin great, because i got accepted to my first pick college, Michigan Tech. Yay! Also, in unrelated news, Frank is running, although with half of his usual processor speed. Boo. Anyway, onto the day.

Errr, Had a band concert today, my first concert where i actually got to play the string bass, and i gotta say, it makes me sad that I do not have one for my own, because the thing freaking rocks. hmm, i guess other than that nothing much happened. Hmmmmm

Ladies And Gentlemen... Sunday, December 12, 2004 |

Frank is dead.

Since nobody knows, Frank is the name of my computer, short for Frankenstien. The cause of death was a thermal even caused by processor fan failure someime on the eveing of Friday.

So here I am, posting this from my Helpless' Mac. Boo.

Shit. And his wireless mouse just stopped working...... FUCK!

Ah, there we go. Anyway, my computer is dead, and i have no word on when i will be able to get it working again. however, this wans't really that bad a thing. I got a little work done on my big writing project, and got a few poems that have been bouncing around in my head written down. All in all, however, this lack of computer has turned the rest of my weekend to shit..... Helpless is really beginning to get on my nerves. I really love the guy like he was family, but his constant whining abou Hopeless and if she likes him is really getting on my nerves. Therefore, for my sanity and their sake, I am going to talk to her about it, so helpless can just shut up... ugh. More on how that goes later.

Long Life.. Wednesday, December 08, 2004 |

Waiting in line to see it.

Having to post this at work, because I've been grounded from doing anything on the computer while at home. And was it worth it? I don't think so...

Ok, reasons for angst now.
This past weekend, me, NetAmin, Saint, Drawzor, and a few of my other friends go to go to MPcon, an big 174 person LAN (Local Area Network) Party. Basically a big geek party, and I loved it, played an unhealthy amount of video games, stayed up Friday night, Saturday night, and finally crashed at a hotel room at 4:30 on Sunday. My mother was really quite uncomfortable with me going, because this whole thing took place in Detroit, and the city really makes her nervous. When we finally awoke around noon on Sunday, the plan was to head back north to home and arrive around 4:00 or 5:00. Due to several events totally out of my control, we ended up arriving at 10:00, and I was instantly grounded for the week. Boo to that. However, if that was the only thing that had went wrong, I would willingly call the whole event a smashing success. Drawz0r and I haven't talked in 3 days. Over the weekend, we got in an argument about how she always treats people like shit, including me. The problem is, she doesn't seem to realiza just how much she hurts people when she constantly insults them... oh well. Bah, the people are returning to work, and now so must I. Guess I'll finish this entry later

A few introductions. Thursday, December 02, 2004 |

Ok, before I start throwing out random names in my blog, I decided to shamelessly copy other blogger users and name my friends by their actions.. here are a few.

Helpless Romantic- Best friend since I moved to this desolate little town spends most of his time pining after the current love of his life.

Hopeless -Helpless' current romantic interest, I swear, somebody needs to slap both of them and get them to realize they like each other.

Saint (Stoner)- Another good friend, whose parents just went through a divorce. His current problem with ye olde Pot kinda bugs me...

Drawz0r- More recent acquaintance, and the current chick I pine after... pretty good artist, check her stuff out at http://chiharu-san.deviantart.com

NetAdmin -Great friend, great computer skills, part of the reason I am going into computer sciences. Also pays for my World of Warcraft subscription with his credit card. (I pay him back!)

Evil Genius -Draz0r's current infatuation, known this guy for years, and I'm probably the closest thing he has to a friend...Oh, and he is a total asshole.

Merna -apparently somebody who manages to like me. Have been trying to get closer to her, but knowing my relationship skills, I will probably fuck this up as much as my chances with Drawz0r.
